Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, singer songwriter, born Tottenham, London, England on 5th May 1988.  Graduated from the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology in Croydon in May 2006, classmate of Leona Lewis and Jessie J.

Her second album, 21, was released on 24 January 2011 in the UK, 22 February in the US and hit number 1 in 18 countries. Adele is the first living artist to achieve two top five hits in both the Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously since the Beatles in 1964. 

"Rolling in the Deep" reached number 1 in 8 countries including the Billboard Hot 100, by November of 2011 the song had sold 5.567 million digital copies in the US alone.
