The Dixie Chicks are an American all-female country music trio and the second highest-selling female group in any musical genre, behind Destiny's Child.

The group formed in 1989 in Dallas, Texas. the Dixie Chicks achieved massive country and pop success starting in the late 1990s with hit songs such as "Wide Open Spaces," "Cowboy Take Me Away" and "Long Time Gone." By 2007, they had won 14 Grammy Awards for their recordings.

Evanescence Wallpaper

Their first major label album "Fallen", has been certified 6x Platinum, spent 43 weeks in the Billboard Top 10 and went on to sell over 14 million copies worldwide.

Although usually categorized as rock, Evanescence do not easily fit into any one rock subcategory. Founded by singer, pianist and songwriter Amy Lee and former lead guitarist and songwriter Ben Moody. Their first full length demo CD, Origin (released in 2000), is relatively unknown. The band also released two EPs. First, the self-titled Evanescence EP (1998) of which about 100 copies were made, and second the Sound Asleep EP, also known as the Whisper EP (1999), limited to 50 copies. Evanescence's second album, titled The Open Door, sold 448,946 copies in the United States in its first week of sales and debued at #1 on the Billboard Top 200.
